The Two-Sided Standing Frame is a free-standing frame based on a design by Chris Becksvoort (an accomplished woodworker who lives in Connecticut). It can be placed on a tabletop, dresser, desk, etc. and has openings on both sides, so you can post two different pictures, and simply change the view by turning the frame around.
I select either White Oak or Red Oak for this project, due to its lovely grain texture and color. The frame has a slightly Asian feel to it, due to the angles in the base and top.
Small pegs are used at the top to hold the frame top in place. They are easily removed in order to change the picture/art work displayed. Frame openings are 10 inches x 7 inches, with a foam-core backing.
