Custom cutting boards – face grain

I wanted to create a simple yet elegant cutting board with a handle that people could use and could easily use to hang it by. It’s a convenient size, useful for cutting bread, cheese, vegetables, or other items.  The ends are rounded for a comfortable fit which enable the board to be used for serving as well.

I choose the best hardwoods for my cutting boards – like Maple, Beech or Walnut. I select and cut out the more interesting sections of the wood, so that each board is pleasant both to use and to view. They are designed to be used regularly, cleaned easily, and stored either on the counter, or upright to the side. When soiled, clean them with soap and water and set them to the side to dry (don’t machine wash them). Upkeep is simple, just rub them down with mineral oil from the supermarket every 6-12 months, depending on usage. All materials and finish used are food safe.
