Well, I was out of town again, so it took me some time to catch up. I had given the finish plenty of time to harden, and now it was time to “rub out the finish” and make it clean and smooth.
I put up some reflective light so I could see any flaws, and put some absorbent paper (old towel) under the humidor. I had the lid separated from the case to make this easier.
I used a spray bottle with soapy water, sprayed it down, and then sanded it by hand with higher and higher sanding levels (320, 400, 600 and 800). After each, I cleaned it off with a towel before apply more soapy water and new grit amounts. The key is to look for an even sheen on all the parts. I had to hand sand all the parts with pads.
I then finished with a soft pad and wax in order to complete the rubbing out process. With that done, I installed the hinges, added the divider, and made some adjustments to the inner lining with a block plane.
In the near future, I’ll have to make a few more adjustments with the inner liner, as well as install the tracker for inner humidity.

Still its done, and ready for use.
Interesting project
