No updates from the shop this week. I went to Vermont/New Hampshire, and did some backpacking in the White Mountains. Did a four day trip up to the top of Mount Washington (6,084 feet), staying in some of the AMC huts. A great time and a lot of exercises.
This Saturday I had the opportunity to show my wares at the Haddonfield NJ farmer’s market. Nice atmosphere, lots of food vendors and fresh vegetables/fruits. Had a lot of good conversations with people, including some folks that might want to do commission work on an item or in their home. Nice weather too! Working on …
So my local town does a street fair twice a year, where they have food truck vendors, craftsman, politicians, and local businesses come out. They close off main street to vehicles, and just have pedestrian traffic for the 4 blocks of downtown main street. Its a lot of fun, and one of those “small town …
Well, the Craft Fair schedule has stared for the year, with me heading to Haddonfield NJ’s farmer’s market to start the year. In the months ahead, I’ll be attending several craft shows and farmer’s markets, selling some of my wares. My current schedule is: Hopefully I’ll see you at one of these in the months …

It was the first Saturday that was clear (i.e. non-rainy) for the last seven weeks, so I guess people were in a buying mood. People were very friendly, the other …
Had a great time at the Farmer’s Market! A lot of the sellers are the low cost phone holders, tablet holders, etc. I had a good time talking to folks and explaining my craft, and some folks came up with some excellent ideas for other projects. As an “attention grabber” I built a wood “spinner” …
Its been a couple of weeks. I have been off backpacking in New Hampshire, and we got rained out – very dramatically. While Vermont got more, New Hampshire was only slightly less, and hiking the White Mountains involves a lot of rock scrambling/climbing. At one point, we were actually hiking down the equivalent of a …
The door to my shop has been in bad shape for years. It’s a wooden door, and due to way the roofline is, there is a significant “splatter” of water which ends up hitting the bottom. Over the years, the wood has rotted away to the point where it was close to falling apart at …
