Heirloom table repair 4

Fixing up the last bit of the legs. Was able to glue in all the spare pieces that had broken off that were left, except for two parts.

The railing on one side had broken apart, and the pieces were long gone. I put together a mixture of epoxy, covered the sides with tape to contain in, and then filled it in. Once it hardens, I should be able to sand and shape it to size and utilize it. Once primed & painted, it will be difficult to tell the difference.

For the top of the leg, it had been broken up so badly, that the only thing to do was to cut away the few bits left on the bandsaw, and then “sister on” another piece of mahogany to the same rough size. Once that drys, I can finish cutting/shaping it to match the other 3 legs. From that point, its on to the lower portion, the scrollwork bottom. That is going to be a challenge.
