Heirloom Table REPAIR 2

There are two legs which are either completely shot or very loose Two of them are pretty solid. I spent about 4 days trying to loosen up the glue in the joints of the legs that were bad with white vinegar (old method to loosen glue up).

Unfortunately, I was only able to loosen them a bit. Eventually I had to break down an use my Japanese hand saw, with zero clearance on one side (i.e. it won’t leave saw marks on the one side). Put this on the leg side and sawed out the dowels that held them together.

The next step is to clean up the side skirts and one leg,  and then glue them back up so they are strong. After that, I’ll have to work out how to repair the one leg whose upper portion was completely destroyed. Will need to cut out a portion of it, and then “sister” on a replacement piece.
