Found this plan in a box making book and thought it was pretty ingenious. The box is setup to store a bottle of wine securely, but it has a tray/lid that can then be “flipped” and used as a tray on top. It can then be used for jewelry or odds & ends. A great idea for a wedding or housewarming present.
Project involved planning the wood down to 3/8” and ¼”, cutting rabbets and miter corners, and some specific measurements. I’ve got it pretty much done (just completed the sanding) and I just need to put the finish on. Will probably go with a polyurethane, since it might take some “hard nocks” in its use.
